When you are stressed out, you might spend a lot of time thinking about the past or worrying about the future. You might have a lot of judgments about the way things “should” or “shouldn’t” be. If you don’t know how to handle stress, you can easily get carried away by these kinds of thoughts until you have completely lost touch with what is happening around you.
